Harrietville

This picturesque mountain village is located at the base of Mt Hotham. It is a historic goldmining town, settled in 1852. In 1861 Harrietville was named after Harriet Tisdale, one of the few white women living in this area at the time. Harrietville currently thrives on the tourism and ski industries.
