Beechworth Day

Day 3 we travel through the hills to the historic gold mining town of Beechworth.

Here we will be accompanied by our local character Pat for a town tour including the Chinese Cemetery and Mayday Hills, a former mental institution.

After morning tea you may chose to visit the Bourke Museum or the entire Beechworth Historic Prescient also incorporating the Court House, Telegraph Station & Chinese Cultural Centre.  There is also a 20min film about Beechworth shown at the Visitors Centre every ½ hour.
 
It is then time to explore the gorgeous shops and cafes. You may like to eat lunch at the famous Beechworth Bakery.

After lunch we visit the NEW Beechworth Honey interpretive centre and visit Murray Brewery Cellars for a tasting of the famous traditional cordials.

We then enjoy a leisurely and scenic drive back to Bright, dinner tonight is served in the motel restaurant.
