Great launch for Great Alpine Valleys

That’s where you will be heading next time you visit Bright and its surrounding towns and attractions in the Alpine Shire.

Alpine Region Tourism and Alpine Shire Council this week launched its new local brand to about 80 tourism business operators.

Alpine Region Tourism Board chair, John Kroeger said the Board had worked under the Victoria’s High Country brand for the past six years and changing the brand was the overwhelming request of operators when the Board surveyed them a year ago.

“The Board ran a workshop with operators to develop initial concepts and then ran focus groups in Melbourne to test the names, concepts and colours,” Mr Kroeger said.

 “Everybody’s efforts will be needed to make this one of the most prominent brands in Victoria.”

This message was supported by the guest speaker Chris Buckingham, CEO of Destination Melbourne.

He spoke on the importance of all operators supporting the new brand and working towards establishing Great Alpine Valleys as one of Victoria’s most recognisable regional brands.
