Mt Hotham
- 45 kilometres from Bright
- Situated above the snowline at an altitude of over 1,800 metres
- The highest point along the Great Alpine Road
Perched high on a ridgeline, Hotham ski resort's spectacular setting offers 360 degree views across the alps, with Mt Feathertop, Falls Creek, Mt McKay and Mount Buffalo all visible on a clear day. Known as the ‘powder capital’ of Australia, Hotham holds the record for the highest annual snowfall of any Victorian resort over the past decade.
While it is best known for being one of Victoria's major downhill ski resorts, it also has plenty to offer the summer visitor. With its fresh mountain air and temperatures that average 25 degrees, the location is ideal for escaping the city heat and enjoying activities such as hiking, mountain bike riding and sightseeing.
